Welcome to the website of poet Colin Bancroft. Originally from Manchester, he is currently living and working in the North East.


Under the tutelage of Jean Sprackland, Adam O'Riordan, Michael Symmons Roberts and Carol Ann Duffy he graduated from MMU with an MA in poetry in 2013.


Currently working on his first collection, his poems have featured in a range of journals, magazines and websites and in 2016 he won both The Poets and Players Competition, judged by Jackie Kay, and was chosen as the Corbridge winner for the Picador 'Shore to Shore' competition.


He is also working on a PhD concerning an eco-critical reading of Robert Frost's poetry.
